How to choose activated carbon filter

June 08, 2018

If Activated Carbon filters are required for high-efficiency filters in high-humidity, high-temperature environments, filters, partitions, and frame materials that are resistant to high temperatures and high humidity must be selected to meet production requirements. If the working environment is located in the biological clean room and the pharmaceutical clean room, the filter of the metal frame must be used, and the surface is not easily rusted. The filter of the wooden frame plate is not allowed to prevent the generation of bacteria and affect the qualification rate of the product.
Instructions for use:
1. Before selecting the equipment, the basic parameters such as the system name, influent water quality, effluent quality, system pressure, and automation level must be clearly defined.
2. Equipment Installation 1 Install the water collection system and open the upper cover (or upper flange cover).
2 Remove the cloth system.
3 The washed gravel and small gravel (ie support layer) are loaded into the filter in order.
4 Load wash activated Carbon (ie filter layer).
5 Install the upper cover (or upper flange cover) and the corresponding seal ring and tighten (or tighten the fixing bolts).
6 Connect the operating system tubing and corresponding other connectors.
Note: The seal between the upper cover (or the upper flange cover), the water distribution system, the water collection system and the cylinder must be properly installed to prevent water leakage from the joint.
3. The equipment is used to close the main power supply, and the power indicator light is on. At the same time, check that the inlet valve is normally opened and the inlet pump is running normally. The inlet tank is above the medium level.
2 runs
a. Open the upper inlet valve V2, the lower outlet valve V5 and the inlet valve V1 of the activated carbon filter.
b. Start the feed pump. When the lower drain valve V5 discharges water, the inflow flow is adjusted to the rated value.
When the water is clear, the outlet valve V7 is opened, and the lower drainage valve V5 is closed, so that water can be supplied to the rear lane equipment.
3 Backwash When the running time of activated carbon filter is prolonged, the pressure difference between its outlets increases, and when the pressure difference of the filter increases by 0.05-0.07Mpa, the equipment needs backwashing.
a. Open the lower inlet valve V4, the inlet valve V1, and the upper drain valve V3.
b. Start the feed pump and adjust the inlet valve V1 so that the water intake is as large as possible.
The backwash time is about 20-45 minutes. Then close the feed pump and close the valves.
4 Washing After each backwash, you need to wash it.
a. Open the upper inlet valve V2 and the inlet valve V1 and lower the drain valve V5.
b. Start the feed pump and adjust the inlet valve V1 to control the amount of water to be normal.
The main technical parameters:
Working pressure: 0.05MPa~0.6MPa
Operating temperature: 5 °C ~ 40 °C (special temperature can be customized)
Single machine flow: 0.5 m/h ~125 m/h
Operation method: manual or automatic control Product specifications: ф173~ф3500
Filtration speed: 5m/h~12m/h Maximum 15m/h
Simplified material: 304, 316L, Q235 rubber or coated epoxy washing time is about 15-30 minutes, until the discharge of water is clear. Then close the feed pump and close the valves.
